I would like to congratulate the Corowa CWA for a lovely celebration last Tuesday on the occasion of their 95th birthday. The whole afternoon was organised with a scrumptious high tea. It was all a great credit to Corowa CWA held in their historic building- a lovely get together.
CWA has a great ‘collect’ repeated at the beginning of each meeting encouraging support for one another abd for the community and telling us not to forget to be kind. At the close of each meeting, the CWA motto is repeated, “Honour to God, loyalty to the throne, service to the country, through country women, for country women y country women”.
With these good old-fashioned values, the CWA has done a lot of good things over the years.
To commemorate its 95th birthday, the Corowa ladies compiled a cookbook. Many of these recipes were handed down through the generations. This book is a tribute to members past and present and is dedicated to our dear friend Ida Mensforth who was a member for 33 years and sadly no longer with us. Thank you, Corowa CWA.
